IT Infrastructure & System Integration // Dortmund
System integration specialist focusing on IT infrastructure, Linux, networks, virtualization, and technical support. Practical, structured, and focused on understandable solutions.
I completed my training as a system integration specialist in June 2026 and am looking for a role in IT infrastructure, system administration, technical support, or infrastructure operations.
My focus is on Linux, virtualization, networks, and reliable operation of technical systems. When troubleshooting, I follow a structured approach and document solutions so they remain useful in daily operations.
In addition, I work privately with Proxmox, OPNsense, UniFi, monitoring, and smaller embedded/IoT projects. Through my part-time job I also bring hands-on experience with POS systems and event technology.
Practical foundations in server and client operations, virtualization (Proxmox VE, KVM/QEMU, VMware), Docker/LXC, Bash scripting, and first automation topics.
Work with Linux systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, and Alpine. Comfortable with terminal workflows, SSH, systemd, reverse proxies, DNS/DHCP basics, and common server services.
Practical experience with VLANs, routing basics, VPNs (WireGuard/OpenVPN/Tailscale), OPNsense, UniFi, and structured network troubleshooting.
Technical support on-site and remote, troubleshooting in live environments, and support for POS systems, peripherals, and event-related IT/AV systems.
Setup and operation of a segmented network and virtualization environment based on Proxmox VE. Connected via OPNsense firewall with dedicated VLANs for IoT, clients, and servers. Monitoring with Uptime Kuma and Prometheus.
Planning and execution of migrating a Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory and DNS structure to a modern server OS. Includes FSMO role transfer, DHCP migration, and DNS cleanup.
Setup of a monitoring solution for server health and network load. Visualization of metrics in Grafana dashboards. Alerts on service downtime or storage shortages via Discord/Telegram webhooks.
Physical and logical integration of IP security cameras (NVR) and IoT systems. Isolation of devices in separate VLANs without WAN access, securing remote access via dedicated WireGuard VPN.
Configuration of a Linux workstation for daily tasks and technical audio processing. Optimization of audio latency via PipeWire, virtualization of Windows test systems via KVM/QEMU with GPU passthrough.
